I know the value of being connected. My goals/ promises to you when elected:

1. I will NEVER vote to increase your tax rate and will actively work to find ways to help lower taxes (especially property taxes). I plan on offering you all more specifics on this over the next few months & plan on working with other candidates prior to the election to sign a pledge promising to, at a minimum, not vote to increase ANY tax.  It's this simple: anyone unable to commit to that in one of the heaviest taxed states in the country shouldn't be in office.  
2. Closely tied to fighting to lower your taxes is being a good steward for your hard-earned tax dollars. I believe the government tends to have a bad habit of not treating their budget like we do our own, putting additional burdens on the backs of decent, hard-working taxpayers like yourself. I can't promise I can stop it by myself, but I can promise you that I'll try my hardest. 
3. I support law enforcement and want to make sure McHenry County always has the resources to keep our communities safe. I look at the increased crime in certain cities/counties and I have no desire for McHenry County to replicate it. I'll strive to make sure our law enforcement has the resources it needs to provide the support McHenry County deserves. 
4. I hope to help (and hear from) local business owners so I can better understand how McHenry County can help foster an environment where businesses and jobs can thrive. I'm always open to ideas, so if you think you know of something that would help, please let me know! 
5. I am a 34 year old who chose McHenry County as a place I want to live, and someday soon start and raise a family in. Taxes, corrupt government, and irresponsible spending, among other things, have driven tens of thousands of residents out of Illinois over the past 5+ years. The people of McHenry County don't have to stand on the sidelines and accept this as the status quo...it's time we fight back! I grew up here, I'm living here, and I plan to stay; I don't plan on "going along to get along". I encourage you to reach out to find ways we can all pitch in to help make this a community we can be proud of. 

When elected, I plan on regularly posting about the issues concerning you, like the county budget or proposed ordinances. I promise to keep you updated on the pros and cons of each issue, how I plan to vote, and when/where meetings are if you'd like to attend.
